Riege Software abstains from trade fair booth at transport logistic

Focus on sustainability and Scope Community

Meerbusch, Düsseldorf – As the international trade fair for logistics, mobility, IT and supply chain management, the transport logistic offers many forwarding companies and logistics service providers the opportunity to present their own company and products. This year, Riege Software refrains from using a presentation booth at the trade fair and focuses on the further development of its product Scope, as well as creating and promoting a global community.

“Logistics thrives on people. Exchanging ideas with our customers on a regular basis helps us to better understand the daily requirements of their working environment. We want Scope to accompany freight forwarders for the years to come, and this requires a community, a network of logistics professionals around the world who can communicate with each other and exchange data without hindrance. This is another sector where Scope will support in the future”, with these words Tobias Riege, CEO of Riege Software, reasons the decision not to have a trade fair booth at transport logistic in Munich.

Riege Software has been the driving force in terms of digitalization and simplification of processes along the entire supply chain for more than three decades. As an internationally recognized industry leader in the Software as a Service sector for logistics, the company from Meerbusch has made a significant contribution to the unification of data standards and the simplification of booking processes. Since last year, an integrated CO₂ calculator has supplemented the logistics software Scope, making emissions visible along the entire transport route.

Tobias Riege has underlined the concept and the urgency of sustainability-oriented corporate management at quite a few conferences over the past year. As a family-owned company, Riege Software also focuses on sustainable relationships with customers and partners and would like to devote more attention to establishing and promoting the Scope Community this year.

“Expectations within the industry for a corporate strategy focused on sustainability have risen in recent years, and we want to lead by example. A trade fair booth is effortful to produce and only serves one purpose: the presentation of the company itself and its product range. Our aim is not just to present Scope as a product, but rather to engage in a dialog with our customers to customize the product to meet their needs.”
